Does Your RAM Audio Sound Bad? Adrenaline Autosound Can Help!

RAM AudioAdrenaline Autosound in Clayton gets a lot of requests to upgrade RAM audio systems for our clients. Ram has done a great job with the Uconnect interface and offers a great set of source options – but they just don’t meet our standards when it comes to great sound quality. If you feel like there is something missing in your truck, don’t worry. We can help!

What Makes a Stereo Sound Great?

RAM was kind enough to include relatively large 6×9-inch speakers in the doors of the RAM 1500. Unfortunately, just because they have similar cone area to an 8-inch sub, you don’t get the same performance. The speakers have weak magnets, thin paper cones and wimpy suspension. These limitations add up to poor performance. Combine that with limited power, even when equipped with the Alpine stereo system, and you have a recipe for boredom.

How Do We Upgrade Your Ram Audio System?

RAM AudioBetter speakers and more power. That’s the recipe for success when it comes to car audio. Better speakers have carefully designed motor assemblies that let them play louder with dramatically less distortion. The cone materials are designed to be rigid and well-damped so your music is tight and accurate. Finally, the spider and surround are chosen  to provide impressive excursion capabilities. Bottom line, a high-quality 6.5-inch speaker can easily outperform any 6×9 RAM has put in their trucks.

To allow those speakers to perform their best, you need power. Even a modest aftermarket amplifier can provide twice as much power to your speakers. This lets you turn them up louder without hearing distortion. Remember when your music got all muddy when you cranked the volume? That doesn’t happen after we have upgraded your sound system.

Next-Level Performance

RAM AudioIf you are looking for a truly impressive upgrade, ask us about adding a subwoofer or a digital signal processor to your truck. A sub will warm up the sound, giving you depth and impact to make performances seem more realistic than ever. A DSP will let us fine-tune the performance of your new speakers for amazing accuracy and realism. We can even adjust the system so your music comes from an imaginary stage across your windshield.

Experience Better Sound Today

If your RAM audio system isn’t all it could be, drop into Adrenaline Autosound near Raleigh. We’d be happy to design an upgrade solution that meets your expectations and budget. From a new set of speakers and an amp to a full custom installation with a bespoke subwoofer enclosure and speaker pods – our team of fabricators can do it all. For more information about our audio system upgrades, or any of the products or services we offer, please call us or send an e-mail using our online contact page.
