Designed specifically for Harley-Davidson motorcycle audio system upgrades, the new Focal FDP Sport amplifier is now in stock at Adrenaline Autosound in Clayton. This four-channel amp features a custom aluminum heatsink with a brushed hairline finish and a beveled edge that fits nicely under the fairing of 2014 and newer Road Glide and Street Glide motorcycles. With 1,000 watts of power on tap, this amp is sure to deliver amazing performance, whether you are cruising the boulevard or out on the interstate.
Focal FDP Sport Specifications
The FDP Sport is rated to produce 175 watts per channel into 4-ohm loads and 250 watts into 2-ohm loads. If required, we can bridge both pairs of channels together to power a pair of 4-ohm speakers or subwoofers with up to 500 watts of power each.
This new amplifier features speaker-level inputs that will accept up to 18 volts of signal without the need for an external line-level converter. The front and rear channels have high-pass crossovers that are adjustable from 10 to 150 Hz with the option of -6 or -12 dB/octave slopes. The rear channels can be switched to low-pass mode with a crossover adjustable from 45 to 150 Hz. Focal has included an anti-hard-clipping circuit to help prevent high-frequency harmonics from damaging speakers when overdriven. Finally, the amp includes the option to duplicate the signal from the front channels to the rear outputs if you only have a two-channel stereo signal source.
The FDP Sport has a footprint of 8.25 by 5 inches and measures only 1.625 inches in height. All of the electrical connections and the configuration and tuning controls are along the back panel of the amp for a clean and tidy installation. Focal includes error detection for short circuits, thermal overload, polarity reversal and DC offset in the output.
Accessories Included with the FDP Sport
Focal provides a set of Molex input and output speaker harnesses as well as an RCA input harness. A power and ground cable is connected to a 4-pin Molex connector to feed current from the motorcycle battery to the amp. Focal provides two mounting feet options to make it easier for us to integrate the amp with your cruiser.
