Full-Feature Design
The JL Audio XD1000/5v2 is a great solution for front, rear and subwoofer systems or fully-active three-way systems with channels dedicated to a subwoofer, midrange and tweeter. Onboard signal processing includes high-pass filters on channels one and two, high-pass or bandpass filtering on channels three and four and an adjustable low-pass filter on the subwoofer channel.
The amplifier will accept up to eight Volts of signal on the inputs, allowing us to connect it to most factory-installed source units. The amp also includes DC-offset and signal-sensing remote turn-on functions to make integration with a factory source unit easier.
High-Efficiency Amplifier Technology
JL Audio’s NexD power supply design works in concert with their high-speed Class-D output stage to offer excellent audio performance and impressive amplifier efficiency. Most Class-D amps simply modulate the output devices to control how much current it passes to your speakers. The NexD power supply can modulate its switching frequency to prevent voltage sags that result in distortion. The result is impressive power production and clean, clear sound.
Compact Chassis
While many would think that an amplifier that is almost 15 inches long would be considered quite large. However, given the power this amp can produce, it’s actually quite reasonable.
