Premium Hardware
The Momento MD5200 dashcam system includes a compact windshield-mount camera that records in amazing 1920×1080-pixel resolution. As soon as you turn on your ignition, the camera starts recording audio and video of everything that happens. The system uses a premium Sony Exmor R image sensor to provide excellent low-light sensitivity and image contrast.
The MD5 system includes a secondary camera that we can install in your rear window or to record behaviors inside the vehicle. The latter is a great option for taxi, Uber and Lyft drivers that may encounter unruly clients. The secondary camera records at 1290×720 resolution.
The system also includes a GPS receiver to capture vehicle location and velocity information. When video files are played back using the Windows-based viewing software, the vehicle location and speed are displayed. A 3-axis accelerometer built into the camera captures instantaneous motion. It will trigger the camera to store an Event video that is stored in a different folder on the included 32GB microSD memory card.
Intelligent Interface
On the rear of the main camera is a 3.5-inch LCD screen with a touch interface. The screen allows for easy alignment and configuration of the camera and its menu options.
An optional Parking Mode allows the camera to continue monitoring the area around the vehicle after the ignition is turned off. In parking mode, the camera only stores video when it detects motion.
